CLOVER SONOMA

This third-generation family dairy company moved its corporate headquarters to a new Petaluma location while staying true to its roots. The tenant improvement converted a previously undeveloped space within an office shell into an open, daylit interior. We worked to preserve the raw warehouse character of the space while carefully introducing new natural materials which reflect the agricultural influences of the region. The interior design demonstrates a balance between the qualities of a contemporary work space and the familiar, unpretentious nature of the brand and its people. We brought in oak siding salvaged from a Tennessee horse race track property by Anthology Woods to help define the interior organization and overall feel. Additionally, we collaborated with steel artist Klaus Rappensperger of Schnitzkraft to design and fabricate custom steel shelving for a display of antique milk cans in the lobby. The overall result of the design effort is an under-stated comfort.
