ROLLING OAKS RESIDENCE
The original home at this site was lost to the devastating Tubbs fire of October, 2017. We are honored to have been a part of the team to rebuild for this wonderful family. While the building footprint is straightforward and nearly the same as the original, the floor plan is greatly simplified, hallways and stepped floors are removed, and the interior and exterior spaces are re-aligned to capture views. The main living space and pool deck are directed toward vistas of Bennett Peak and Taylor Mountain where the northwest outlet of Sonoma Valley joins the Santa Rosa Plain. Overall, the Architecture reflects the agricultural feel of the setting with zinc corrugated roofing, expressed wood structure, a wrap-around porch, and a simple order to the functional spaces of the plan. Our team developed the interior design in partnership with the owner and family. The result is a warm, comfortable interior lending to recovery and family time.
