STUDIO VIEW

Barnes & Noble maintains an Architecture retail display section which doesn't contain books. There you will find legos, 3-D puzzles, and assemble-by-number models. The books on Architecture are usually on a back shelf of any general bookstore, subordinate to the Art and Photography sections and often unmarked. While Architect's monographs, and books on history and theory are important to me, I'm completely fascinated by the public view of Architecture as hobby.

In the Studio, we embrace model making as a fundamental part of developing and visualizing a design. Currently on the table in the Studio is a study model for a new residence in Sonoma County. There really is no substitute for making and viewing real models of proposed buildings and details.
